Since 2012, the International School of The Hague (ISH) has been participating in the Shell Eco Car Marathon, where they are the only International School to participate against university teams.
The project was initiated by a group of students, who created the Silverback Engineering Team, part of their Global Issues Network (GIN) group.
The students have built the car from start to finish, and also pilot the car in the competitions.
In order to compete, the car has to fulfill all the criteria and technical specifications and the school team have been known to beat university teams for fuel efficiency on the track.
The ISH Silverback team well on track to compete again in 2018 with the challenge of performing better every year.
