Music, dance and theatre from talented members of the local international community

11:00 – 11:30 TAIKA Finnish Female Choir

The Finnish Female Choir practices in Voorburg and has a wide repertoire, ranging from folk to pop, with an emphasis on Finnish female choral music.

 

11:30-12:00      International School in The Hague Orchestra & Choir

50 students aged 11 to 18 will present a programme which includes songs by Sam Smith and Bruno Mars. They will welcome visitors with an opening fanfare.

 

12:00-12:15      Deputy Mayor’s Welcome Speech      

Deputy Mayor Saskia Bruines is The Hague’s alderman for the Knowledge Economy, International Affairs, Youth and Education.

 

12:15-12:45     Toastmasters Public Speaking

Toastmasters will be the comperes for the podium programme and will also present a workshop entitled “Conquering the Stage” to guide people on how to become more effective and confident public speakers

 

12:45-13:15      Muziekacademie Den Haag Bikkelband

A dynamic group of young Jazz musicians from the largest music school in The Hague area

 

13:15-13:45     The British School in The Netherlands Concert Choir

Over 50 British School children aged 8 to 13 years old will charm visitors with their beautiful voices

 

13:45-14:15    Kilkenny School of Irish Dance

The Kilkenny Tap Dancers are a favourite at the Fair. The school focuses on moulding talent in a family setting and most of all, building confidence in their dancers

 

14:15-14:40      St John Philip Choir

This is the first time the church choir will perform at the Fair. The adult choir is comprised of approximately 25 singers, ranging in age from 14 upwards, and spanning the breadth of musical skill from gifted amateur to professional singer.

 

14:40-15:00      Mouna May Belly Dancers

Five members of the company will perform Tahia’s Dance, an Oriental Dance in Classic Egyptian style

 

15:00-15:30      Equinox Jazz Band

Every Sunday, Equinox perform from 4pm to 6pm in the Pavlov bar, opposite City Hall. At the Fair you can see a sneak preview, but you’re welcome to follow them over the road for an evening of Jazz.

 

15:30-16:00      Shepherd’s Ministries Dance

​Shepherds Ministries, provides vocational, educational and residential opportunities for adults with intellectual disabilities. The dance performance from their junior members is a traditional part of our podium programme

 

16:55 – 16:15 TAIKA Finnish Female Choir

The Finnish Female Choir practices in Voorburg and has a wide repertoire, ranging from folk to pop, with an emphasis on Finnish female choral music.

 

16:15-16:35      Zahara Dance Academy

Zahara has become the popular face of the Feel at Home Fair and traditionally closes the event with one of her dances. She also runs a dance workshop for children to showcase for her dance academy and children are welcome to join her on stage at the end of her performance.
