When Irish dance is mentioned, Riverdance and competitive girls in embroidered dresses are always at first hand. Back at home in Ireland outside the competition and stage spaces Irish step and set dancing bring joy to those across the counties of Ireland who love to dance.
Taught since a young age most of us can manage a one, two, three in time without expecting to win any awards. People enjoy traditional Irish dance at weddings, in community halls and even at the crossroads of a Patrick’s Day.
The Irish Club will be organising participation set dances at 14:30 on Central Park and at 15:30 in the Community Centre at the Fair. Come enjoy Irish dance gevoon style!
It’s a whole lot of fun!
