Hard workers, thinkers. Doers….dreamers. Hackers, civil servants, 3D printers. Students and entrepreneurs. Diplomats and artists.
In The Hague, tens of thousands of people are working towards making the world a better place. Every day and in many ways. Our city represents an unique hub that connects startups with governments, international companies, research centers, studios, and thousands of creative entrepreneurs.
Economic success goes hand in hand with social impact. The Hague Municipality calls it the “impact economy” and they have created a special division, named ImpactCity, to invest in people, places, experiments and ideas to encourage innovation.
One of their initiatives is The Hague Innovator Challenge for which there are 9 nominees this year. You can read their stories and, if you hurry, cast your vote for your favourite initiative! Voting closes on Sunday 17th January 2016, but you will have the chance to meet some of these exciting young entrepreneurs and talk with them about their products and their experiences in The Innovation Quarter of The Feel at Home in The Hague Fair.
Sponsored by The Hague’s InnovationQuarter which is the regional economic development agency for the South Holland province in the Netherlands and WestHolland Foreign Investment Agency, our Innovation Quarter will also feature representatives from a number of successful local start-ups and a series of talks on innovation and crowd funding in the city’s imposing Raadzaal (Council Chamber).
Locally based Noc will be one of the companies sharing knowledge and presenting Tavolo, a fun networking game for young professionals to connect in a foreign city.
In the same spirit, YoungTheHague will also be presenting their organisation and all the opportunities it provides for students, job seekers and international employees to meet up socially and professionally.
Don’t miss this unique occasion for bright young minds to connect!
