Expat Mortgages is a team of independent mortgage brokers for expats who want to buy a house in the Netherlands. They only work with expats and this has allowed them to become a specialist in what they do.
Richardo Cruz Fortes will explain all the steps in the home buying process in The Netherlands. He will take you on a short journey starting with the basic requirements for a bank to have you as a customer – nationalities, residence permits, credit checks, etc. Then you will look at the different mortgage options and get to know how much you can borrow and consequently what will be your monthly costs? Last part of the presentation shows how the buying process works from search to signing at the notary, stopping at some crucial points to tell you what you need to be aware of.
Richardo is very passionate about his job and the people (clients) he gets to meet every day. Richardo’s motto is: “We do not have problems, we only have challenges and each challenge requires the right tailor-made solution. “
At the end of the workshop you will be given an opportunity to ask your individual questions and if you still have anything remaining that you would like to discuss in private, you can also schedule a meeting with one of our advisors.
TIME: 14:30 – 15:00
LOCATION: SEMINAR ROOM UPSTAIRS (next to the food court)
Richardo was born and raised in Amsterdam, but he also has Cape Verdean roots. Both his parents were born on the Cape Verdean Islands. He is happily married to Nihal for already 11 years and they have 2 daughters: Zahara and Tamar and 1 son Zaki. In his spare time he likes to play (watch) soccer and spend quality time with his family and kids.
His first job with Rabobank was as a mortgage administrator, but with the time he wanted to develop more and move to the next level – consultancy. That is why he decided to join the team of Expat Mortgages in 2010 and since 2011 Richardo is an acknowledged mortgage consultant.
