A meeting point and fun day out for the whole family
On Sunday 4 February, 150 exhibitors, performers, presenters and fundraisers provided a special mix of information, animation and entertainment to over 4000 visitors in The Hague’s City Hall, thus confirming The Feel at Home Fair as the biggest international community event in The Netherlands.
These photos capture the warmth and enjoyment that was shared by visitors and stand-holders alike. The special theme of Sports, Leisure and Wellness was celebrated with demonstrations, try-outs, challenges and workshops showcasing a wide range of sports and leisure activities available in the region. Health and wellness experts provided information and practical advice on keeping fit in body and mind.
The Hague Region has an excellent infrastructure of clubs, associations and sports facilities to practice every sport imaginable: from beach sports to martial arts, sailing to golf, gymnastics or dance to football, hockey or cricket. Companies, friends and family teams were invited to try out sports, join in dances and test their strengths in friendly challenges.
Visitors had the opportunity to meet the members and coaches of many of their local sports clubs, gyms and leisure centres and get a feeling for where they’d fit in.
From the terrace of the international food court they had a bird’s eye view of the Fair while they caught up with friends or made new connections and sampled West African, Indian and Indonesian cuisine.
These first videos give a feeling for the spirit of participation which is a trademark of this very special international community event.
Thanks to all our visitors for being such good sports!
